Unless I just havent figured it out yet, I was doing a crafting mission and I guess I messed it up by crafting too much too soon. I am trying to upgrade my scepter or rod, whatever, and I need to have, i am guessing here, an item of the same level and the other material to upgrade it? I have the OTHER mterial but not the items of the same level to finish the quest. Ugh. So my question is can I use a higher level item to enchant something. If not I need 1 common and 2 uncommon rods or scepter, I am a mystic to complete the mission. Thanks.

The details of the Vanarch system have been released. The full article is HERE, but here are some of the highlights:

Must be level 20 or above in order to vote. You are allowed one vote per account per continent. The three continents are Arun (Velika), Northern Shara (Kaiator), and Southern Shara (Allamantheia).

Policy points are earned through special Vanarch-only guild quests that award points based on the difficulty of the quest.

Policy points are used by a Vanarch to raise or lower various taxes, open specialty shops, add skill trainers, and enable access to trade brokers.

The Vanarch and his/her guild receive access to a special mount that can only be used while the Vanarch is in power. Lose your position and you lose the mount.

You vote through the Activities menu and select Candidates during the voting phase. Consider where you spend most of your time to decide who you want to vote for and how you vote.

Few select goodies:

- Chat text now updates properly when quotation marks are used. You can start quoting Shakespeare now.
- Threatening crystals now stack properly.
- In preparation of the upcoming vanarch elections, many specialty shopkeepers, trainers and tradebrokers are taking a vacation. You'll have to petition your local elected officials to get them back to work.
- Default setting for party loot rolls has changed to "rare" and "class-specific".
- There are now three enchanting tutorial quests—two at level 25 and one at level 48. You'll be enchanted, we're sure.

It's Friday you guys!! I am looking forward to a nice, quiet weekend of TERA. Couple quick updates on things over the past couple of days:

I have added a new memo to the Members Only section regarding alts in the guild. Please read it HERE.

There is also another new post in the Members Only section that all members need to check out HERE.

We have a lot of people that are moving in to the 40-50 level range. Speaking from experience, from 45+ all the way to 60 the game gets quite a bit more intense. Look for a questing partner to start working with and leveling together. It makes the game a lot more fun and really helps get through those last levels faster. From level 59-60 requires 171 million experience alone... it's a long road and more fun with others.

Remember to be picking up the guild quests from the Federation boards in towns - they have the blue exclamations over them. Doing these quests (most of them can be done side-by-side with zone/story quests) give you Cathanarch awards. These tokens are used to level the guild, required for Vanarch ballot registration, and to purchase special guild level items for your own use. Please help the guild out by continuing to collect these and put them in the guild bank for use.
